A message from NFD Governor Robin Rich:

Welcome  to the 2019-2020 iMagine and believe year!  To those of you who are  taking on a role for the first time, I congratulate you.  To those who  are repeating, I am proud to have you on the Team and working for the  North Florida District once again.  This letter is your Call to  Conference—A call for you to reach out to your zone, clubs and members  and invite them to attend our 1st Quarter Conference in Palm Coast,  October 4-6.  This is your opportunity to share with those who don’t  normally attend conferences, why they should attend.

Russ  Thomas, our Southeast Region Vice President, will be present to share  International President Adrian’s message.  In addition, Optimist  International has provided us with some fantastic training materials  which will also give you a sneak peek of Jermaine Harris who will be a  main stage speaker at the Optimist International Convention in Chicago  next summer.  Our 1st Quarter Conference is going to be all about  education!  We’ll talk about International as well as District so  please, take some time to think about it and bring any questions you  might have.  The goal is for everyone to walk away on Sunday with more  information about our organization while having a great time!

With  October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, our Saturday night banquet  will turn PINK as we have a pink pajama party!   Break out your best  pink pj’s and show them off.  If pj’s aren’t your thing, t-shirts are in  the process of being made and will be available for purchase at a cost  of $10.  All proceeds will be split between the district and the  Optimist International Childhood Health & Wellness Campaign.  These  t-shirts are a great alternative to pj’s and/or they can be worn  throughout the weekend and after!  Optimist International is all about  the kids, but without the grandmas, moms, aunts, sisters and yes, even  dads and brothers, we wouldn’t be able to help and support as many  children as we do.  So please, let’s show our support for this amazing  cause!

YOU are the Team that will lead us to success this year and I am thrilled to be working with each of you!  I ask only that you “iMagine and believe” that we can do anything we wish to do and that you share this same belief with every child you meet this coming year.

Thank you for all you do!
